Grunge Work

May 31, 2009...

There are times when working towards a goal...when working towards success...is not fun.

It's when the "grunge work" is involved.

What's the "grunge work"? It's the details. Those tiny, non-pleasant, pesky...all-important details.

Stressful Blessings

May 30, 2009...

Today, I had to take a breath. A big one.

Probably like you, I have a lot of things on my plate right now. The accumulation of those things is pretty heavy at times, and I'm not immune to stress leaking through the cracks in my armor.

The armor part I am kidding about. The stress I am not.

Writing and Riding

May 29, 2009...

"Writing and Riding," was the answer that came out of my mouth.

I was asked today to share two things important to me at this time in my life.

"The Best Is Yet To Come!"

May 28, 2009...

"The best is yet to come!"

I believe it. I dream it. I live it.

Believing "the best is yet to come" gives my day physical energy. I can empower.

Wrinkles...and rising hairlines

May 27, 2009...

"We don't stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing."

I came across this George Bernard Shaw quote today at the library. It was displayed prominently on a bulletin board geared to encourage older Americans to stay active.

Energy Givers

May 26, 2009...

In all of our conversations...at all times...we are either "giving energy" or "stealing energy."

Which do you do?

Think for a moment how you interact with others...friends, family, your boss, co-workers, the postman, the grocery clerk...strangers.

Memorial Day Thanks

"Extra ordinary" versus "Extraordinary"

May 24, 2009...

In my mind, there are two different ways to live.

Making Sense of Chaos

May 23, 2009...

Chaos

Have you felt it? Do you live in it? It seems many people do...and it's a crazy, unproductive place where focus seems sometimes impossible.

The Glory...and the Gory

May 22, 2009...

The past.

We all have one.

Some people live in the glory days of their past. In doing so, they limit the glory days of their future.
