In the Blink of an Eye

June 5, 2009...

It's an interesting concept.

What do you tell yourself?

June 4, 2009...

I've always felt that communication...speaking and writing... is the one acquired skill that could move us ahead in life faster than any other. Solid communication skills shown in both our professional and personal lives can do wonders for how life treats us.

Maybe you've noticed, too.

June 3, 2009...

"Problems" versus "possibilities."

Where's your focus and with whom do you more readily identify?

The Highlight of the Day

June 2, 2009...

Do you have one? Do you have a "highlight of the day"?

At the end of each matter how successful or unsuccessful the day seemed...I always look for a highlight. Some days my brain might not want to pull one out...but that's when I just have to dig a bit deeper. The highlight is there. It always is.

Except YOU

June 1, 2009...

No one is in charge of your success.

Except YOU.

Except YOU.

Grunge Work

May 31, 2009...

There are times when working towards a goal...when working towards not fun.

It's when the "grunge work" is involved.

What's the "grunge work"? It's the details. Those tiny, non-pleasant, pesky...all-important details.

Stressful Blessings

May 30, 2009...

Today, I had to take a breath. A big one.

Probably like you, I have a lot of things on my plate right now. The accumulation of those things is pretty heavy at times, and I'm not immune to stress leaking through the cracks in my armor.

The armor part I am kidding about. The stress I am not.

Writing and Riding

May 29, 2009...

"Writing and Riding," was the answer that came out of my mouth.

I was asked today to share two things important to me at this time in my life.

"The Best Is Yet To Come!"

May 28, 2009...

"The best is yet to come!"

I believe it. I dream it. I live it.

Believing "the best is yet to come" gives my day physical energy. I can empower.

Wrinkles...and rising hairlines

May 27, 2009...

"We don't stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing."

I came across this George Bernard Shaw quote today at the library. It was displayed prominently on a bulletin board geared to encourage older Americans to stay active.
