The Great Wood Splitting Challenge...(Part 1)

 

December 22, 2012…

After a number of preliminary contests, the two finalists in The Great Extra Mile Wood Splitting Challenge stood shoulder-to-shoulder.

Well, sort of.

You see, there was a rather large difference in the size of the two men.

The first contestant was a giant of a man. A towering, burly individual, contestant #1 looked as if he was taken right out of the pages of lumberjack lore. His beard was heavy, his laugh hearty, and his muscles were gigantic.

The second contestant was much smaller and stood eight inches shorter and weighed a hundred pounds less than his Paul Bunyan-like opponent. Although this fine wood chopper had easily defeated previous challengers, he was given little chance of knocking off the Giant of the Forest.
