Too Many Shortcomings...

March 27, 2010

By definition, "wet blankets" are people whose pessimism can stop
momentum in its tracks. They are the one who are always finding the
negative and shouting, "It can't be done!"

You may know one. Or two.

But "Wet Blanket Lesons" take the negative...and turn it into the
positive.

In 1876, there was an internal memo out of Western Union:

"This 'telephone' has too many shortcomings to be seriously
considered as a means of communication. The device is inherently of no
value to us."

The REAL lesson here...

Sure, a credible source may have told you that you're not experienced
enough to get the job or rich enough to start the business...but does
that person's opinion really control your destiny?

Listen to the experts...evaluate their input...but don't let their
opinions become your blueprint for moving forward.
