Someone wrote and asked me today, "What is a Battery Charger of the Human Spirit? I've never heard that before."
So in my best "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus" type response, here was my answer:
Dear friend,
A "Battery Charger of the Human Spirit" is something akin to a car battery charger...except with people.
Perhaps at one time in your life, your car's battery might have died and you needed a charge. Someone finally comes around to lift the hood...hook up the cables...start their car...and get yours started, too. The power of one car is able to get the second car up and going again.
That's kinda' what a "Battery Charger of the Human Spirit" does.
It's one highly motivated, driven, and empowered person igniting an energy charge into a person who may be dragging because of life's challenges. It's a person who motivates others by showing them their potential. It's a person who encourages others when he or she sees something praiseworthy. It's someone who goes out of his or her way to clap for someone who needs it.
And that, my friend, is a "Battery Charger of the Human Spirit."
It's a pretty cool job title. It has amazing intangible rewards...and there are always job openings for more. It's a great job to have, and I highly encourage you to set your sights on being one, too.
